About this tool

This tool renders every barcode family that shows up on identity documents, bills and mail, in sixteen industry formats. The linear codes cover general-purpose text (Code 128), the classic ID and membership-card symbologies (Code 39, Code 93, Codabar), retail product numbers (EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E) and logistics codes (ITF, ITF-14). The 2D matrix group carries what government documents actually use: PDF417 for US and Canadian driver's licenses and green cards, DataMatrix for passports, visas and EU ID cards, and Aztec for airline boarding passes. The postal group draws the height-modulated codes printed on US and UK statements, bills and proof-of-address mail: USPS POSTNET, USPS Intelligent Mail (IMb) and Royal Mail RM4SCC. Check digits are computed or verified with the standard GS1, USPS and Royal Mail formulas, error-correction levels are adjustable where the symbology allows it, and every output downloads as PNG or SVG in your colors and sizes. Everything runs locally in your browser; nothing is ever sent to a server.
