Description
This China driving licence template is a layered Photoshop version of the motor vehicle driving licence the People's Republic of China issues to its own citizens — the card that carries the portrait, the licence number, the vehicle class you are allowed to drive and the official issue and expiry dates. It is drawn in the layout of the real printed card and sized to the proportions of that card, not to a letter page. Two files are included: DL-China-V1.psd on a 1024x1368 RGB canvas, and China-Chinese-Drivers-License-Dl-Ps-Photoshop-Psd-V2.PSD on a 1870x1378 CMYK canvas with four channels at 8 bit per channel, which is the colour model a print shop expects for this kind of work.
The V1 file is the older design and it is the one that opens up for editing. The front of the card carries the portrait, the licence number 53290118880102202X, the name, the sex and nationality, the service address, the date of birth, the date the licence was first issued as 2014 06 19, the vehicle class and the six-year validity; the sub-page below carries the same licence number, the archive number 130201000872, the record instruction and the barcode. Every one of those values is its own type layer, so you retype a field and nothing else moves, and the portrait is a linked smart object rather than a flattened photograph.
The V2 file is the current design and it is built around the back of the card, where the vehicle class code table sits on the green guilloche security pattern with the vertical security strip running down the edge. The class marks are live type layers, so the A1 A2 A3 B1 B2 C1 C2 C3 list, the C4 C5 D E F M N P list, the combinations A3/B1/B2, C1/M and C2/C3 and the single E and F marks can each be adjusted on their own, and the printed notice that no unit or individual may detain the document is there as an editable line as well. Together the two files give you both the historical and the current card, plus the Chinese fonts the artwork was built with, and the whole thing arrives as plain archives with the original folder structure intact.
What this China driving licence template contains
- Two layered Photoshop builds of the Chinese motor vehicle driving licence, each on its own canvas: the V1 file is 1024x1368 in RGB, and the V2 file is 1870x1378 in CMYK with four channels at 8 bit, so both are sized to the proportions of the real card rather than to a sheet of A4. Both files are genuine 8BPS documents with real Photoshop layers.
- The V1 file, DL-China-V1.psd, is the complete older licence on one canvas: the front with the photo and the personal fields, and the sub-page with the archive number and the barcode, with every printed value sitting on its own type layer.
- That V1 layer structure is what makes the template usable: the licence number 53290118880102202X, the archive number 130201000872, the first issue date 2014 06 19, the date of birth and the vehicle class are all separate type layers, and the portrait is a smart object you can replace by double-clicking it.
- The V2 file, China-Chinese-Drivers-License-Dl-Ps-Photoshop-Psd-V2.PSD, moves to the current design and rebuilds the back of the licence around the vehicle class code table, with the class marks A1 A2 A3 B1 B2 C1 C2 C3 on live type layers, the A3/B1/B2 and C1/M and C2/C3 combinations on separate layers, and the vertical anti-counterfeit strip placed along the edge.
- The V2 file also carries the full printed warning that no unit or person other than the public security traffic management authority may detain the document, together with the whole list of vehicle descriptions it refers to, each on its own editable line.
- The V1 bundle also ships the four Chinese typefaces the artwork depends on: msyh.ttc and its bold and light cuts, plus simsun.ttc, so the lettering keeps its original shape without you having to hunt for the fonts.
- The anti-counterfeit work is genuine, not decoration: the guilloche base pattern on the V2 card, the embedded security line in the paper and the vertical holographic strip are all part of the file rather than a filter applied over a flat picture.
- Both archives keep their original internal folder layout, so each document opens exactly as it was authored and there is nothing to install, convert or repair before you start.
More driving licence and document designs are collected in the China template list where you can compare layouts before choosing a format.
